Hey there, truth-seekers and fellow believers! June 2024 is making headlines with record-setting global heatwaves. It’s easy to get caught up in the frenzy of these climatic changes, but I’m here to remind you that while the Earth may heat up, God’s plan for our lives remains unwavering. Let’s dive into how we can navigate these fiery times through the lens of faith, and see how science actually follows God's divine blueprint.

Nature's Timeless Dance

First, let's take a step back and appreciate the grand dance of nature, which by the way, belongs to God, that has been happening since the beginning of time. Climate change, global warming, natural disasters—these aren't new phenomena. They’ve been around since the sun began it's journey around the earth. Thats right, i said it.

Consider the Ice Ages—those times when vast glaciers covered significant parts of the Earth. We’re talking millions of years before humans even set foot on this planet. These glacial periods were followed by warmer interglacial periods, proving that Earth has always had its ups and downs temperature-wise. But here’s the amazing part: since humans have been on Earth, we have been utterly protected by God—or at least, those He chooses to protect. It's all part of His grand design, showing His sovereignty and care over creation. Even as nature's cycles continue, God's hand remains steadfast over His people, guiding and protecting us through it all.

Remember, every scorching summer or chilly winter is just another step in God’s ongoing creation. So, when the news screams about record heat, take a moment to appreciate the complexity and beauty of His work.

Science Follows God

Now, let’s address the big question: how does science fit into all this? Contrary to what some might think, science isn't at odds with faith. In fact, it’s a tool God has given us to better understand His creation. Every scientific discovery is a revelation of the intricate details of His divine plan.

Take the laws of thermodynamics, for instance. They govern how heat energy moves and transforms, which is central to understanding climate dynamics. These laws are not man-made; they're discovered. They were placed in motion by God. Scientists are simply uncovering the mechanisms He set in place.

In the book of the Lord, disruptions and disasters are often called pestilence. These pestilences serve a purpose: they test our faith. Modern-day pestilences could be anything from a global pandemic to climate-related events like heatwaves.

God allows these distractions not to harm us, but to refine our faith. They challenge us to look beyond the immediate panic and place our trust in His eternal promises. Just like Job, who faced immense trials but never lost his faith, we must also remain steadfast.

The Israelite exodus from Egypt is another powerful example. They wandered the desert for 40 years, facing natural challenges and hardships, yet God’s plan for them never wavered. Likewise, these modern-day pestilences are part of our journey, meant to draw us closer to Him.

It’s crucial to remember that no matter what happens around us—be it record heatwaves or global disasters—God’s plan for our lives remains unchanged. His love and promises are eternal. He’s got the whole world in His hands, and nothing that happens is outside of His control. If i had to sum it up in one scripture, although i typically woudl not as we are commanded to give two or three to expound and confirm his word, Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof;. Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us: 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Although this scripture is meant for those who believe in Him, this means that even amidst climate chaos, God’s plans are for our good.

Our job is to stay focused on His word, not the world's panic. While headlines come and go, His word stands forever. In times of global anxiety, dive deeper into Scripture and anchor your heart in His unchanging truth.

Picture this: you've got a friend who keeps trying to get you to do something that goes against God’s commandments. Maybe it’s something seemingly harmless, but deep down, you know it’s not right. You’re torn between keeping the peace with your friend and staying true to God’s word.

In these moments, it’s crucial to remember what the Bible says. Proverbs 13:20 20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” The point is that it’s okay to stand firm in your faith, even if it means having tough conversations with friends. This is the time to double down on your faith. Remember why you got the job in the first place—because you were aligned with God’s will. Colossians 3:23-24 says, 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Stay focused on doing your job well and let your work be a testament to your faith. Don’t let the situation sway your thoughts or actions. Trust that God is with you and will guide you through the trials.

Family can be another source of tension and testing of faith. Perhaps you’re facing pressure to go against your beliefs to keep the peace at family gatherings. Maybe it’s about your decision to raise your children in the faith, which isn't sitting well with everyone. God took the time to specifically call out family, so there is no excuse for us not to know: "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me" (Matthew 10:37). This power-line reminds us to keep our thoughts and actions aligned with God, not with family pressures. However, some people take this as an opportunity to lash out at family members using the words of the Lord as a flag, but that's not right either. Ephesians 6:4 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. By the way, if you're not doing this scripture and you are a father, you are not doing the will of the lord. Stand firm in your faith and lead by example. Your commitment to God’s word is a light for your family, even if it means weathering some storms.

Financial Struggles and Trust in God

Imagine you’re going through a tough financial time. The bills are piling up, and it feels like there’s no way out. It’s easy to get discouraged and question why this is happening when you’ve been faithful. During such times, remember Philippians 4:19: 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. The key is to belive .Philoppians 4:19 rather than no food in the fridge.

In these times, you must rid yourself of the pestilence of negative thoughts and worries about how bad things are, so you can remember to trust in the Lord. Do your due diligence—look for better jobs, pay your bills, and do what you're supposed to do—but don't let those thoughts take root in your mind. The Lord is testing you, and it’s crucial to keep your faith intact. Remember, God allows these trials to refine us, not to break us. Stay focused on His promises and know that He will see you through it.

Health Challenges and Divine Healing

Health challenges can be incredibly testing. Whether it’s a personal health issue or a loved one’s, it can shake your faith to the core. You might be praying for healing and seeing no immediate results.

James 5:14-15 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;

No matter the situation, staying focused on God’s word and His promises can guide us through the toughest times.

Remember Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God.” In a world full of noise and chaos, or as called by teh lord "pestilence" find your stillness in his word. Surround yourself with those who believe who can support and encourage you in your.

Finally, don’t let the world’s news shake your faith. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Hold fast to the truth as you go through teh pestilence of the world.
